Mindfulness

Mindfulness (20 minutes) Students will practice mindfulness exercises through guided meditation, stretching, reflection, and a positive affirmation. The purpose of these Mindfulness Exercises are to give students an opportunity to de-stress, clear their minds, and reflect on their days.

Each week, the reflection focuses on one of the five core competencies of CASEL’s model for systemic Social and Emotional Learning (SEL):
                                               1. Self-Awareness
                                               2. Self-Management
                                               3. Responsible Decision-Making
                                               4. Relationship Skills
                                               5. Social Awareness
